This vise was originally patented by Victor R.
Koontz. The patent was filed
on Feb. 6, 1918 and granted on July 15, 1919. This rare and unique vise says
"Patent Applied For" on the front jaw and had a short production
run.

This is Ron Curtis' Victor Tool Co vise. Note that it says "PATENTED"
instead of "PAT. APLD. FOR".
